馬來西亞航空公司飛往北京MH370班機失聯，疑似在越南外海墜毀。根據馬航記者會消息，機上載有227名旅客、12名機組員，包括有1名台灣乘客搭乘這班失事飛機。

馬航表示，搭乘MH370班機的台灣旅客護照拼音為46歲的女性莊秀林，中華民國駐馬來西亞台北經濟文化辦事處表示，目前尚未接獲任何旅居大馬的台灣人來電詢問，但已派員前往吉隆坡國際機場，以進一步確認乘客名單。
