DICE日前發布了戰地4的DLC《二次突襲》，常規測試中被GTX 780 Ti擊敗的R9 290X在這個DLC中咸魚翻身，性能可領先後者多達60%。

1月底DICE如約發布了Mantle版《戰地4》，AMD也推出了支持Mantle的催化劑14.1驅動，當時的測試顯示Mantle要比DX11版《戰地4》在性能上領先7-10%，最高則能達到30%左右。這一性能提升幅度相對以前的宣傳來說有點不夠看，因為大家對Mantle的期望值更高。戰地4的優化、修補還在繼續，DICE又發布了DLC《二次突襲》（Second Assault），新一輪的Mantle vs.DX11大戰結果就很驚人了，常規測試中被GTX 780 Ti擊敗的R9 290X在這個DLC中咸魚翻身，性能可領先後者多達60%。

現在來看看這個結果吧，總共進行了5個場景的測試，在DX11 API下，R9 290X似場景不同都要落後GTX 780 Ti顯卡至少10-20%的樣子，不過在Mantle API下R9 290X完全變了一個樣，平均幀從原來的50-60fps的水平提高到了90fps以上，完全逆轉啊，5個場景中最高領先GTX 780 Ti大約65%，少的也有32%，性能表現跟之前完全不一樣。
