在「蘇力」颱風帶來強風豪雨的肆虐之下，潭子聚興、新田地區竹筍、紅柿、柑橘受損嚴重，立委楊瓊瓔及市議員賴朝國會同農糧署等有關單位人員勘查；楊立委要求農委會儘速補助受災農民，農糧署承諾將以「從寬、從速、從簡」的原則來辦理，並協助果農爭取相關救助。

立委楊瓊瓔及市議員賴朝國，連續2天會同農糧署、市府農業局、台中區改良場、潭子區公所、潭子區農會人員到潭子地區，勘察果樹及竹筍受損情形。發現潭子聚興、新田地區迎風面的筍園及果園受災嚴重，風雨吹斷了整座山的大部分竹子，讓原本要冒出頭的綠竹筍，就此夭折。筍農賴嶺說，蘇力颱風風力太強，導致此次農損特別嚴重，大量竹子被吹倒及竹葉乾枯，至少減少4成收入。

柿農鐘漢林也指出，紅柿因強風豪雨造成摩擦受損及大量葉片被吹落，由於每顆紅柿成熟所需養分，平均需要5到10片葉子進行光合作用，大量落葉導致紅柿果實無法吸收養分而掉落，今年的收成將血本無歸。

農糧署中區分署分署長林美瑄表示，農委會公告現金救助損失門檻為1億8000萬元，此次台中市農業損失面積廣大，應會超過門檻，然而仍需台中市政府成立專案小組，確認損失狀況，以便受災農民能儘速獲得專案補助加速復耕，減輕農民損失。農糧署也當場承諾筍農及果農，竹筍每公頃補助2萬4000元，柿農則是每公頃6萬元，柑橘每公頃7萬5000元，協助農民紓困。
