未成熟的青番茄有毒性,但是.....

未成熟的青色小番茄有毒性,但是採收時為青色,待幾個小時後轉變為紅色這樣子可以嗎?

我家種植小番茄,因為小鳥會啄食,故在青色時就需採下,然後等幾小時後就會變成紅色(雖然沒有紅到熟透的顏色,觸摸時仍果身仍堅硬.)這樣可以嗎?還是一定要在樹上就熟透才可以採下呢?
