大多數人替狗狗改名都是擅作主張，從沒有問過狗狗是否接納。外國一名女子則讓狗狗選擇自己的名字，不過狗狗最後並沒有做出選擇，但聽到「親屁股(Buttkiss)」這名字時，卻表現出相當反感。

一段上傳YouTube的影片中，美國印第安納州一名主人，跟狗狗艾利(Ellie)說要改名，問了牠幾個名字後都沒有反應。但當主人問牠叫「Buttkiss」怎麼樣時，牠立即回過頭來抗議怒吼。主人摸摸牠的頭，叫牠冷靜，再問其他名字，牠依舊沒有反應，不過只要一說到「Buttkiss」時，狗狗馬上吼叫抓狂。（施旖婕／綜合外電報導）
