嘉南農田水利會楊明風會長與南區水資源局黃世偉局長一行，2月25日下午至德元埤水庫抽水站視察農民春耕用水。

因應南部地區水庫蓄水不足，嘉南農田水利會自2月19日起實施第一期作水稻灌溉間斷6日省水措施，於2月25日起恢復曾文-烏山頭水庫灌區供水。

南部地區第一期作水稻暨春季甘蔗雜作灌溉計畫用水量3億噸，因久旱不雨，目前曾文水庫暨烏山頭水庫合計蓄水量約僅2.2億噸，為穩定南部水情及確保農民在5月份水稻大量需水時有水供灌，在不影響農民權益下，嘉南農田水利會發動掌水工加強輪區分配水量，以最節約的方式進行灌溉，以便能將水蓄存於水庫，免除社會大眾可能缺水之不便。

嘉南農田水利會楊明風會長呼籲各界共體時艱，有水當思無水之苦，由自身做起，養成節約用水的好習慣，對於廣大農民辛苦配合灌溉間斷用水之辛勞亦表示感謝。
